A global professional services organisation is expanding its Data Governance function and is hiring Data Governance Analysts at mid and senior level.
This is a high impact role within a central data team, working across global offices and senior stakeholders to bring structure, clarity, and trust to business critical data. The team is focused on improving data quality, ownership, and literacy across the organisation using modern governance frameworks and tooling.
The RoleYou will play a key role in helping the business understand, govern, and trust its data.
Depending on level, responsibilities will include* Acting as a first point of contact for data governance queries across the business* Supporting and engaging with a large community of Data Stewards* Owning and managing the data governance issues log* Helping define, document, and improve data ownership and usage* Managing and improving the data catalogue and metadata assets* Working with stakeholders to understand how data is used and where issues exist* Supporting improvements to data quality, processes, and governance standards
At senior level, you will also* Lead governance activities and coach a more junior analyst* Drive continuous improvement across the data governance framework* Take ownership of stakeholder relationships and governance outcomes* Manage upwards and provide clear updates to senior stakeholders
What We're Looking For* Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practice* Experience working with data cataloguing or governance tools such as Data360, Collibra, Informatica, or similar* Confident stakeholder management skills with the ability to challenge and influence* Comfortable working in complex, regulated, or professional environments* Able to translate between technical teams and non technical business users
Consulting, professional services, legal, or financial services backgrounds are particularly well suited.
