Senior Data Governance Analyst

Location: London (Hybrid - 4 Days In Office)

Salary: Up to £65,000

This is a great opportunity to join a global organisation that is investing heavily in data governance and data quality. You will play a pivotal role in shaping how data is organised, understood, and trusted across the business, working with stakeholders around the world and taking real ownership from day one.

The Company

They are a large international organisation with a strong data culture and a growing focus on governance, data quality, and metadata management. Their teams work collaboratively across multiple regions, and they are building mature, enterprise-wide data capabilities. Data is central to how they make decisions, manage risk, and understand the business, and they are now strengthening their Data Governance function to support this evolution.

The Role

As a Senior Data Governance Analyst, you will take the lead in developing and improving governance processes, supporting global data stewards, and ensuring high-quality metadata and documentation across key domains. This is a hands-on governance role with a strong mix of stakeholder engagement, process ownership, and technical application.

You will:

  • Lead day-to-day governance activities and guide the mid-level analyst.
  • Own the data governance issues log, ensuring items are prioritised, progressed, and resolved.
  • Work closely with Data Stewards across global offices, supporting monthly forums and leading discussions.
  • Configure and optimise the data management and cataloguing tool to enhance visibility and trust in data.
  • Drive metadata ingestion, curation, and modelling within the governance platform.
  • Develop and maintain business glossary content, data lineage, and reference data lists.
  • Identify process improvements and help uplift data literacy across the business.
  • Analyse business requirements to inform governance practices and support wider data initiatives.
  • Produce clear documentation, including definitions, transformation rules, processes, and usage guidance.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Strong experience in Data Governance, including hands-on work with data catalogues or governance tooling (Data360, Collibra, Informatica, or similar).
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to lead conversations and drive accountability.
  • Solid understanding of data quality, metadata management, reference data, and data stewardship.
  • Experience working in professional services, finance, consulting, or similarly complex environments is beneficial.
  • Experience using BI tools such as Power BI is helpful but not essential.

If this sounds like the right next step for you, please apply with your CV and the team will be in touch!
