Senior Data Strategist

Job Title: Senior Data Strategist Day Rate: £400 per day

Location: Hybrid - 2-3 days per week onsite in Victoria Contract Type: 3-month contract (initial)Working Pattern: 4-5 days per week (preference for 4)

Overview

We're working with a leading creative agency to find an experienced Senior Data Strategist to support a new client engagement in the promotions and loyalty space. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a new programme launching now through to the end of the year, with the potential to move into a long-term, retained relationship.

This is a key test period for our client, and the strategist will play a critical role in proving the value of data-led decision-making for campaign optimisation and business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the setup and implementation of the data strategy for a new promotional campaign running through December.

  • Provide regular insights reporting and campaign performance analysis, focusing on what's working and what's not across CRM and digital channels.

  • Collaborate with an analyst to develop a scenario planning tool that models campaign effectiveness and forecasts commercial impact (e.g., open rates linked to revenue).

  • Create measurement strategies to track performance across email, website, and other digital channels.

  • Work closely with the customer strategy team to define audience segments, develop personalisation approaches, and support campaign targeting.

  • Be responsible for campaign monitoring, reporting and continuous optimisation of one key campaign initially.

  • Support an additional client on a monthly campaign performance reporting programme across owned digital channels (social, web, and app).

  • Provide mentorship and storytelling guidance to a junior team member working on the second client account.

Skills & Experience

Must-Have Experience:

  • Strong background in CRM and data strategy within an agency environment.

  • Experience measuring customer journeys end-to-end - across email, website and broader digital touchpoints.

  • Strong understanding of campaign performance metrics and translating data into actionable insights.

  • Familiarity with marketing personalisation techniques and audience segmentation.

  • Experience in building or using scenario/planning tools to demonstrate commercial value.

Desirable Tools/Platforms:

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other CRM platforms exposure

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4) exposure
