The OpportunityA rare strategic pricing role at one of the UK's largest train operators. The company has just secured a 9-year contract extension - genuine long-term stability and serious investment capacity behind this hire. The Revenue function is being restructured, bringing pricing and revenue strategy together. You'll report into the Head of Revenue, own the pricing agenda, and manage one direct report.
The Role- Own and lead the pricing vision and strategy
- Lead design and delivery of customer-led pricing strategies
- Manage the Pricing Manager (direct report)
- Work cross-functionally with commercial, analytics and operational teams
- Drive pricing innovation - trials, experiments and reform initiatives
- Industry Reform Pricing - Pay-as-you-go national ticketing schemes
- Ticketing Structure Trials - Leading trials on changing regular ticketing structures
- Own Pricing Trials - Building bespoke pricing strategies with high autonomy
- 3-5+ years pricing strategy experience in transport, aviation, utilities or regulated sectors
- Proven ability to design, build and scale pricing projects and trials
- Experience with industry reform and pricing change initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management at senior level
- Creative and self-starting - able to own a pricing agenda independently
- Track record delivering pricing strategy at scale
- Up to £56,800
