ServiceNow Developer

Location: On-site once every 2 weeks - London Contract: 12 months IR35: Inside Rate: Up to £650pd Start: ASAP (max 2-3 weeks' notice)

Overview

The role sits within a key project focused on third-party hardware licensing, where an initial workflow has already been built. The focus now is on enhancing, scaling, and expanding this solution.

This is a hands-on development role, not a consultancy position, they are looking for someone who can actively build, iterate and drive delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build and implement enhancements across the ServiceNow platform
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs and solutions
  • Develop and deliver platform changes end-to-end
  • Work in an agile environment, gathering requirements and delivering in sprints
  • Plan, estimate and deliver ongoing platform improvements and workflow enhancements
  • Provide technical guidance on ServiceNow capabilities and best practices
  • Engage and influence stakeholders in a consultative manner

Requirements

  • 3+ years' strong hands-on ServiceNow development experience
  • Experience building and developing ServiceNow Service Portals (public-facing)
  • Experience building custom applications with a focus on UX/UI
  • Strong experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Experience working in Agile, Scrum or SAFe environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Comfortable working at pace and delivering to tight deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team

Technical Skills

  • ServiceNow platform development and workflow configuration
  • Web technologies: JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap
  • APIs and integrations: REST, SOAP, JSON, HTTP
  • Experience building and maintaining ServiceNow integrations
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation and debugging capability

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with ServiceNow CSM (Customer Service Management)
  • Exposure to Jira and Confluence
  • Understanding of ServiceNow core platform architecture
  • Knowledge of SaaS / cloud environments and ServiceNow licensing

Certifications (Desirable)

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
  • ServiceNow CSM (CIS-CSM)
