The Opportunity

These flexible global events solutions company delivers seamless services to some of the world's most high-profile occasions, from major sporting spectacles to star-studded award shows. In this role, you'll help enhance the guest experience and event security by supporting state of the art systems that simplify check-in, manage access, and ensure smooth operations at events across Europe, America, and beyond. While we require 2-3 years of experience, this is a role promoting significant room to grow and upskill, offering plenty of opportunities for paid-for training and mentorship from industry professionals.

The Role and Responsibilities

As a Software Application Engineer, you will be responsible for rapid prototyping and providing customer solutions for clients, offering variety between clients. 75% of your work will involve software development, build web portals and develop user interfaces. Learning about radio frequency (RF) hardware, particularly ultra-high-frequency (UHF) RFID systems, through on-the-job training (any prior interest in this area will be appreciated).

The other 25% of your work will involve customer-facing work, working with product managers, to manage individual systems; in addition to exposure to live events and travel opportunities. You will be expected to be working with JavaScript, HTML and CSS, in addition to TypeScript, React, Node.js and would prefer someone to be proficient with AWS.

This role provides the benefit of exposure to real life events including the UFC, Ryder Cup and VMAs to list a few, therefore a valid passport is a necessity for the role.

Interview Process

The interview process consists of 3 stages:

  1. Initial screening with CTO (30 minutes)
  2. Technical Interview (1-2 hours) - live coding with feedback on implementation and approach. Use of AI is permitted but note that requirements and focus will shift to account for code-generation tooling.
  3. Final interview / culture fit (30 minutes - 1 hour)
