You will operate at the intersection of engineering and strategy, building a unified AI-native data layer while working closely with executive leadership. The Role

You will take ownership of building the group's shared data platform and AI-native architecture. You will contribute both strategically and hands-on, with a strong focus on delivery and impact.

  • Design and build a unified data layer, including entity graph, provenance, quality, and APIs
  • Deliver production-ready systems and modern APIs that connect data across multiple business units
  • Lead the technical integration of acquisitions, including data, access, and observability
  • Hire and grow a small team of AI-native engineers, driving a high-performance delivery culture
  • Define and document architectural standards and AI engineering practices
  • Work closely with senior leadership, contributing to technical strategy and decision-making
  • Produce clear documentation and run regular demonstrations of progress

Your Skills and Experience

  • Strong commercial experience building data platforms, APIs, or data-led products at scale
  • Comfortable writing production code and working across Python, TypeScript, and SQL
  • Experience using modern AI tooling or agent-based development approaches
  • Ability to quickly understand and assess unfamiliar codebases and systems
  • Experience designing scalable architectures across multiple services or business units
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Commercial awareness, including understanding of product value, margins, and customers
  • A pragmatic mindset with a focus on delivery, quality, and continuous improvement
