Analytics Engineer
Analytics Engineer
London or UK Remote, £65,000 to £70,000 + benefits
This is a rare opportunity to join a lean, central data team at a pivotal point of growth. The role has genuine ownership, technical depth, and visibility, with the chance to help rebuild and shape the core analytics capability that underpins multiple product areas across the business.
The Company
They are a well-established, digital-first consumer business operating at scale in the UK market. Data plays a critical role in how they design products, improve customer experience, and make commercial decisions. With a strong focus on modern analytics and experimentation, they invest heavily in their data platform and value hands on technical contribution over layers of process.
The Role
You will sit within the central analytics function, working across product teams to design and deliver high quality analytical data assets.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing, building, and maintaining robust analytical data models for wide business use
- Developing transformations using dbt on a modern cloud data warehouse
- Working closely with data infrastructure to ensure scalable, reliable pipelines
- Supporting product and analytics teams with well modelled, trusted datasets
- Playing a key role in rebuilding and strengthening the core analytics capability
This is a highly hands on position, suited to someone who enjoys building data solutions end to end rather than focusing primarily on stakeholder management.
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience writing SQL for analytics and data modelling
- Proven ability to design dimensional data models, with Kimball style approaches preferred
- Hands on experience using dbt for data transformations
- Experience working with a cloud data warehouse, ideally Snowflake
- Comfortable using Python or a similar language for analytical or logical problem solving
- A builder mindset with a passion for clean, well structured data
What They Offer
- Salary between £65,000 and £70,000 plus benefits
- Remote first working model, with around one day per month in a UK office
- The opportunity to make a visible, long term impact in a small but influential team
- Clear scope for progression as the data function continues to grow
