This is a strong opportunity for a Data Scientist to join a well-established data and analytics consultancy, working at the intersection of advanced analytics, proprietary data, and real-world commercial impact. You will play a key role in delivering end-to-end data science solutions while gaining exposure to a variety of industries and high-impact use cases.

Their work primarily supports organisations in utilities, telecommunications, financial services, and the not-for-profit sector, with a focus on predictive modelling and customer insight. They offer a collaborative and project-driven environment with strong technical capability.

The Role

  • Build and deploy predictive models, particularly focused on propensity and customer behaviour modelling
  • Translate business challenges into analytical approaches through stakeholder engagement and data discovery
  • Work closely with project managers, subject matter experts, and data analysts to deliver client solutions
  • Run data discovery sessions and present findings back to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Develop segmentation models and scorecards to optimise customer engagement and decision making
  • Contribute to the design and development of scalable data products and analytical solutions
  • Continuously refine and retrain models to improve performance and relevance

Your Skills and Experience

  • Strong commercial experience in data science or advanced analytics
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and modelling
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets, such as transactional or behavioural data
  • Good understanding of data modelling concepts and feature engineering techniques
  • Exposure to cloud platforms, ideally Azure, and experience with Databricks is beneficial
  • Confident communicating insights to stakeholders and presenting to clients
  • Experience working in a consultancy or client facing environment is advantageous
