With new investment and a stronger enterprise data vision, they are building the governance foundations needed to drive consistency, trust, and smarter decision‐making globally.

The Role

As Head of Data Governance, you will be the business owner for data governance across the organisation. You will

  • Define and embed enterprise‐wide data governance practices, standards, and accountabilities.
  • Lead data stewardship networks and guide business teams on definitions, data quality, and ownership.
  • Improve data availability, ensuring teams can access consistent, well‐documented data for reporting and analytics.
  • Chair forums that bring together product owners and analytics communities to align priorities and share best practice.
  • Drive adoption of data governance across diverse functions, influencing senior stakeholders and navigating complexity.
  • Work closely with technology teams to ensure business and technical requirements meet effectively.
  • Operate as both strategist and hands‐on leader, given the lean team structure.

Your Skills and Experience

You will bring

  • Strong experience designing and implementing data governance frameworks within complex organisations.
  • Expertise in data quality, metadata management, data stewardship, and defining business‐ready data.
  • Confidence working with reporting and analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Experience influencing and partnering with senior stakeholders across multiple business areas.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and facilitate cross‐functional forums.
  • A balance of strategic mindset and willingness to get into the detail when needed.
  • Comfort operating with limited resources and driving momentum through influence.
