London hybrid working, salary up to £140,000 plus benefits

This is a senior leadership role created to bring clarity, focus and direction to Analytics and Data Science at a pivotal point in the organisation’s data journey. You will take ownership of a newly unified function, with the opportunity to shape strategy, improve how data is used across the business and ensure analytics and data science deliver clear, measurable value.

The Role

You will lead Analytics, Insight and Data Science as a single capability, working closely with senior stakeholders and peers across data, technology and the wider business. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and delivering the Analytics and Data Science strategy aligned to broader data and AI priorities.
  • Uniting analytics and data science teams into a cohesive, high performing function.
  • Driving self service analytics adoption and improving data literacy across the organisation.
  • Overseeing the redesign and rationalisation of dashboards and reporting.
  • Guiding the development and deployment of predictive models and machine learning solutions.
  • Acting as a senior advisor to leadership teams, championing data driven decision making.
  • Partnering with data product, engineering, governance and architecture teams to enable scalable delivery.
  • Building a culture focused on experimentation, quality and business impact.

Your Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you are likely to bring:

  • Leadership experience across both Analytics and Data Science teams.
  • Strong commercial experience within consumer facing or digital organisations.
  • A track record of delivering data transformation and improving data adoption.
  • Experience rolling out self service analytics at scale.
  • Exposure to deploying data science or machine learning models into production.
  • The ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex ideas clearly.
  • Technical credibility across analytics, data science, SQL and Python or R.
  • Experience working with modern cloud data platforms and BI tools.
