You will play a pivotal role in stabilising and optimising a new data ecosystem, guiding a growing team, and embedding high‐quality data foundations across the business.

The client is a global consumer brand undergoing significant digital and data transformation. With a new ERP platform approaching go‐live and an expanding data environment, they are investing heavily in data quality, governance, and scalable foundations. They operate in a fast‐paced, product‐led environment where accurate product data is essential for operations, supply chain, and customer experience. You will join a collaborative technology and operations community that is modernising how data flows across the organisation.

The Role

As Head of Data, you will lead the Product Master Data and Data Engineering teams, ensuring stability and high performance across the ERP and analytics landscape. You will guide the business through post‐go‐live ERP stabilisation, own data governance, and manage a team responsible for data engineering and master data operations. Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the data function across product data, master data operations, governance, and data engineering.
• Own product data foundations including item structures, standards, and lifecycle processes.
• Manage and coach a team of three, ensuring capability, performance, and alignment.
• Oversee data pipelines, integrations, and workflows, including Snowflake and Power Query.
• Partner closely with technology leadership on enterprise architecture and transformation initiatives.
• Ensure a successful transition from Tableau to Power BI and support other data‐driven projects.
• Act as the senior data representative across major programmes including ERP, CRM migration, and operational change.
• Manage day‐to‐day master data operations and seasonal readiness to ensure smooth product launches.

Your Skills and Experience

• Strong experience leading data, master data, or ERP‐focused data functions.
• Experienced managing, or being heavily involved in ERP transformation/implementation projects.
• Expertise with product data models, data governance, and operational data management.
• Practical understanding of ERP environments such as NetSuite (preferred), SAP, or similar platforms.
• Experience working with product or supply chain data.
• Familiarity with tools such as Power Query, Tableau or Power BI, Python, and SQL.
• Experience in consumer goods, retail, supply chain, or stock‐driven environments is beneficial.
• Confident people leader, capable of guiding teams during periods of change.
• Comfortable working cross‐functionally with finance, supply chain, product, and technology teams.
