A tier-1 global gaming and consumer technology brand is hiring a Principal Machine Learning Engineer into its Research function in London. This team sits at the forefront of applied AI, building systems that improve how large-scale games are tested, validated, and shipped. The focus is on automating QA through intelligent gameplay agents and advanced video-based ML systems.
You will lead technically, drive delivery, and mentor others while remaining hands-on across research and production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design of anomaly / defect detection systems for automated QA
- Build and optimise computer vision models on video data
- Drive applied research (e.g. self-supervised, multimodal, VLM-adjacent work) into production
- Own end-to-end ML lifecycle from experimentation to deployment
- Provide technical mentorship and delivery planning across projects
- Collaborate with engineering and research stakeholders to scale systems
Key Details
- Salary: £140,000–£210,000 base
- Bonus: 20%-30%
- Working model: London – 1 day per month onsite
- Tech stack: Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, video/CV systems, production ML tooling
