A global AI and data consultancy is hiring a Senior AI Engineer to help design and deliver production AI systems for enterprise organisations across financial services, energy, and healthcare.

The company operates globally with ~600 employees and a large engineering presence in London. Their teams embed directly with clients to deploy AI systems into production environments, working closely with leading AI labs and cloud platforms to deliver scalable solutions.

This role focuses on building reliable, production-grade AI systems, combining strong software engineering with applied AI development. You’ll work within cross-functional delivery squads alongside data scientists, engineers, and platform specialists.

Role Summary

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on designing and deploying LLM-powered systems in production environments. Engineers work across multiple enterprise engagements, typically lasting around nine months, building AI applications that solve real operational problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement LLM-powered applications for enterprise clients

• Build RAG pipelines and AI workflows integrating enterprise data

• Develop production APIs and backend services in Python

• Implement evaluation frameworks and monitoring for AI systems

• Optimise AI systems across latency, cost, and performance

• Contribute to solution architecture within cross-functional delivery squads

Key Details

• Salary: £75,000 – £90,000

• Working model: Hybrid (2–3 days per week in Central London)

• Tech stack: Python, LLM APIs, RAG architectures, vector databases, agent frameworks, cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
