A leading global law firm is building a new R&D function focused on developing AI-enabled products and data-driven solutions. The team is being established to create innovative products that leverage the firm's data, knowledge and domain expertise at scale. This is a rare opportunity to join at the beginning of the journey and play a key role in shaping both products and engineering standards. You'll work within a small, highly collaborative environment with significant ownership and visibility.
Role summary:
We're looking for an AI Engineer to build production-grade AI products, agentic workflows and intelligent document-processing solutions. You'll take ownership of AI capabilities from design through deployment, working across backend services, orchestration layers and user-facing applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build AI-enabled product features used by lawyers and business stakeholders
- Develop agentic workflows, tool-calling systems and orchestration frameworks
- Design and implement RAG, retrieval and context management capabilities
- Build and maintain Python services, APIs and TypeScript applications
- Implement evaluation, observability and monitoring frameworks for AI systems
- Work closely with stakeholders to deliver scalable, production-ready solutions
- Contribute to Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD deployment workflows
Key Details:
Salary Range: £70,000-£90,000 + bonus
Working Model: Hybrid, 2 days per week in the Tower Bridge London office
