Senior AI Engineer - Market Intelligence

A London-based alternative data company is hiring an AI Engineer to help build production AI systems used internally and eventually within client-facing products. The company develops machine learning models that estimate company performance before earnings announcements by analysing alternative datasets such as transaction data, digital signals, and web activity.

Their platform tracks hundreds of public companies and sells predictive KPI insights to hedge funds and institutional investors. The team is small and highly technical, offering engineers significant ownership across architecture, tooling, and product development.

This role will focus on designing and deploying end-to-end LLM systems, initially building internal AI tools and automation systems before expanding into client-facing AI products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy RAG pipelines for knowledge retrieval and reasoning

• Build agentic AI workflows using frameworks such as LangChain or similar

• Develop LLM microservices using Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask

• Build internal AI tools including chatbots, automation systems, and workflow assistants

• Deploy AI services on AWS infrastructure and manage reliability and monitoring

• Work with vector databases and orchestration frameworks for LLM systems

Key Details

• Comp: £60,000–£95,000, ~15% bonus, equity

• Working model: Fully remote (UK) with occasional team gatherings
