Role Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced EUX / M365 Technical Lead to join a large enterprise environment undergoing a modern workplace transformation.

This role will focus on designing, delivering, and evolving the organisation’s End User Experience using the Microsoft ecosystem. You will provide deep technical leadership across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure and modern endpoint management while also enabling AI-driven productivity improvements through Microsoft Copilot and automation technologies.

Operating as a senior technical authority, you will help shape strategy, architecture and delivery for the modern workplace platform. The role requires a hands-on technical leader who can translate Microsoft capabilities into secure, scalable solutions that improve productivity, automate business processes and deliver measurable business outcomes.

You will work closely with technology leadership, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to modernise workplace technology, improve security posture, and drive adoption of AI-enabled tools within Microsoft 365.

Key Responsibilities:

  • EUX & Modern Workplace Strategy
  • Define and evolve the organisation’s End User Experience (EUX) strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals.
  • Provide technical leadership across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure and modern workplace technologies.
  • Act as a hands-on technical authority, influencing architecture decisions, technical standards and operational best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve end user productivity, automate manual processes and enhance collaboration.
  • Drive adoption of modern workplace capabilities across the organisation.
  • Microsoft 365 & AI Enablement
  • Lead the design and implementation of Microsoft 365 solutions that enhance user productivity and collaboration.
  • Drive adoption of Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio and AI-enabled services within the Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Translate Microsoft’s evolving technology roadmap into practical enterprise solutions.
  • Enable automation and intelligent workflows through Power Platform technologies including Power Automate, Power Apps and Power Virtual Agents.
  • Promote AI-driven innovation while ensuring solutions are scalable, secure and aligned with governance standards.
  • Modern Device & Endpoint Management
  • Lead the transition from legacy endpoint management platforms (such as SCCM) to modern device management using Microsoft Intune.
  • Design and implement endpoint management strategies including Autopilot, Windows Hello for Business, and MDM/MAM policies.
  • Support device management across multiple platforms including Windows, macOS, iOS and Android.
  • Define hardware and software asset management strategies and governance frameworks.
  • Align endpoint management policies with security, productivity and EUX objectives.

Automation & Integration:

Design and deliver automation solutions across Microsoft 365, Azure and enterprise systems.

Build integrations using APIs, Microsoft Graph and Azure Integration Services.

Develop automation capabilities using PowerShell and cloud-based scripting.

Enable seamless data flow and system integration to support efficient business processes and decision making.

AI Governance, Security & Compliance:

  • Ensure all AI and automation solutions are designed with security and compliance as a priority.
  • Implement governance frameworks across Microsoft 365 including Microsoft Purview, Defender and identity governance capabilities.
  • Provide expertise in tenant architecture, cross-tenant collaboration and enterprise governance models.
  • Work closely with security teams to embed secure-by-design principles within modern workplace solutions.
  • Define guardrails for responsible AI usage and ensure ethical and compliant implementation of AI capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Leadership
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and technology leadership.
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value.
  • Collaborate with vendors, engineering teams and support teams to solve complex technical challenges.
  • Mentor and guide engineering and support teams on modern workplace and automation best practices.
  • Drive delivery of technical initiatives while influencing strategic direction.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years experience working within enterprise IT environments focused on End User Computing, Modern Workplace or EUX transformation.
  • Proven experience leading modern workplace transformation initiatives rather than simply supporting them.
  • Experience designing and delivering Microsoft 365 solutions within large enterprise organisations.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing automation, AI enablement or intelligent workplace technologies.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong expertise across Microsoft 365, including core collaboration and productivity services.

Hands-on experience with:

  • Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio
  • Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power Virtual Agents)
  • Microsoft Graph API
  • PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Strong experience with Azure services including identity, integrations and AI capabilities.
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID including identity governance and access management.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Intune and modern endpoint management including:
  • Autopilot
  • Windows Hello for Business
  • MDM/MAM policies
  • Apple DEP
  • Android Enterprise / Samsung Knox
  • Azure Virtual Desktop / Windows 365
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 security and governance including Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Purview.
  • Experience designing enterprise-scale integration and automation patterns.
