This is a high-impact role in a fast-paced trading environment, requiring strong technical knowledge, business awareness, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams and regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide front-to-back support for commodity trading and live position applications during trading hours.
  • Support CTRM and connected upstream/downstream systems for intraday and end-of-day processing.
  • Ensure timely execution of batch jobs and take corrective action when needed (e.g. fixing curves, excluding deals/portfolios).
  • Proactively monitor system availability and performance, identifying and resolving issues before they impact users.
  • Manage communication with internal stakeholders, clients, and vendors regarding incidents, progress updates, and planned changes.
  • Log, prioritise, and track support tickets, ensuring fast resolution and excellent service delivery.

Technical Expertise

  • 10+ years in IT, with at least 5 years in the energy trading domain.
  • Strong functional knowledge of OpenLink Endur, including front-, middle-, and back-office modules (trade capture, confirmations, invoicing, risk management, EOD batch processing, troubleshooting).
  • Solid understanding of North American Gas & Power trading lifecycle.
  • Experience supporting CTRM applications and related systems, with strong awareness of trade workflow and operations.
  • Familiarity with Risk, PnL, and PnL attribution concepts.
  • Programming experience in Java, .NET, or similar; knowledge of Endur OpenJVS is an advantage.
  • Proficient in SQL and database troubleshooting.
  • Comfortable supporting a global team across multiple regions.
  • Eagerness to learn and support both third-party and in-house systems.

Non-Technical Skills

  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills across business and technical stakeholders.
  • Calm and effective under pressure, with strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic trading environment.
  • Quick learner with adaptability to new technologies and evolving business needs.
  • Collaborative mindset – able to work with geographically distributed teams.
  • Flexibility to participate in shift patterns or on-call rotations as required.

Why Join?

  • Work directly with traders and risk teams on mission-critical energy trading systems.
  • Be part of a high-performing global technology function supporting complex, fast-moving markets.
  • Gain exposure to Endur and advanced commodities trading technologies.
  • Competitive compensation, performance bonus, and career growth opportunities in a leading energy trading organisation.

If you're a seasoned technologist with a passion for problem-solving and deep expertise in Endur and commodities trading, we'd love to hear from you.
