Application Support Analyst – Surveillance Systems

£550–£650 per day | Outside IR35 | 6-12 month rolling contract

Central London | 5 days a week on site

You’ll be working for a global financial services firm, supporting a wide range of front-office and post-trade systems with a particular focus on Surveillance, Trading, and Market Connectivity platforms. This is a role that sits at the sharp end of a high-performance trading environment — ideal for someone used to pressure, pace, and problem-solving.

What you’ll be doing:

• Providing 2nd/3rd line support across trading, market data, and back-office systems
• Managing incidents, outages, and system upgrades within a regulated environment
• Supporting surveillance systems, FIX connectivity, and trading infrastructure (TT, ION, Stellar, Deltix, etc.)
• Writing and deploying PowerShell scripts to automate daily tasks
• Leading vendor upgrades and mandatory exchange changes
• Working with stakeholders across tech and the business to keep systems live and efficient

What you’ll need:

• Proven experience in Application Support within financial services
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Windows, Linux/Unix, SQL and Oracle
• Familiarity with FIX messaging, exchange connectivity and high-frequency trading systems
• Experience with platforms like ION Suite, ATEO, Stellar, IBM MQ, TT, Algorithmics
• Comfortable working under pressure in a trading floor environment
• Understanding of ITIL, change management and compliance expectations
• Strong communicator with the ability to document, explain, and resolve issues clearly
