IAM/ PAM Specialist/ Consultant

Harrington Starr are seeking an Identity & Access Management - IAM/ Privileged Access Management - PAM SME/ Specialist to work for our global financial services client in London (city)

This is a newly created role which is part of a huge investment in both access management and the wider cyber security function. The role will provide an internal consulting function supporting more technical engineering teams in the identity arena.

On a day to day basis the role will involve:

• Company-wide development of a holistic IAM and PAM strategy.
• Conceptual development, optimisation, and automation of authorisation management, as well as the development of standards in the IAM and PAM environment.
• Connecting IAM and PAM systems to existing IT landscapes (e.g., Active Directory, cloud platforms such as Azure AD).
• Providing supporting to users, role owners, and managers on technical and procedural issues, as well as coordination and further development of relevant processes in the IAM/PAM context.
• Security policies & compliance: Support in the development and creation of concepts and documentation based on regulatory (German based) requirements, as well as the definition of critical authorisations.

Key skills needed:

• Knowledge of working with common IAM and PAM tools - Sailpoint, Okta, Ping, Deliena and CyberArk as examples
• Strong technical and business facing knowledge with regards to IAM/ PAM - candidates who are more biased towards one will be considered, but must have some experience of both
• Knowledge of directory services and authentication methods
• Knowledge of of Zero Trust, Least Privilege, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
• Experience of working with cyber security standards/ frameworks in a regulated financial services (or similar) environment
