Quantitative Developer - Java - Crypto

My client is looking for a Quantitative Developer to join their Crypto trading desk, working closely with traders and quants to build and optimise cutting-edge market making and quantitative trading systems across digital assets and DeFi markets.

The role will focus on developing high-performance, low-latency trading infrastructure and algorithms, with strong exposure to Crypto, FX, and real-time market data environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain quantitative trading algorithms and market making systems for Crypto markets

• Work closely with traders and quantitative analysts to translate strategies into production-grade code

• Optimise trading systems for latency, scalability, and reliability

• Integrate and manage real-time market and tick data feeds

• Monitor and troubleshoot live trading systems

• Contribute to the evolution of development tools, infrastructure, and processes

• Leverage AI and automation tools to improve workflow efficiency and decision-making

Requirements:

• Strong Java development experience within algorithmic trading environments

• Experience building high-frequency / low-latency trading systems

• Background working on FX and/or Crypto trading desks

• Knowledge of tick data analytics and real-time data processing

• Experience integrating and executing strategies on DeFi platforms (SOL/ETH)

• Strong quantitative and problem-solving capabilities

• Excellent communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience within Crypto, DeFi, or market making environments

• Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) or DevOps tooling

• Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments
