Application Support Analyst – SQL / Trading Systems - CRD

We’re partnering with a leading investment management firm to hire a Charles River Support Analyst to join their Front Office Technology team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong SQL skills and hands-on exposure to trading or portfolio management systems — ideally Charles River (CRD) — who wants to work directly with portfolio managers, traders, and operations teams in a high-impact role.

The Role

• Provide day-to-day technical and functional support for the Charles River IMS platform (Order Management, Compliance, Trading).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to trade workflows, compliance rules, benchmarks, and FIX connectivity.
• Write and optimise SQL queries to investigate data issues across trades, positions, securities, and reference data.
• Work closely with Front Office teams to ensure smooth daily operations and timely issue resolution.
• Partner with vendors and internal technology teams to escalate, test, and deploy system fixes and enhancements.
• Participate in upgrade projects, configuration changes, and workflow improvements.
• Monitor system jobs, data feeds, interfaces, and overnight processes to ensure platform stability.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience supporting Charles River IMS or another front-office trading/OMS platform (Bloomberg AIM, Aladdin, SimCorp, Fidessa, etc.)
• Strong SQL skills for troubleshooting and data analysis.
• Understanding of trade lifecycle, compliance rules, order workflows, and market data.
• Ability to work directly with traders, PMs, and operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with FIX, Python, or scripting languages is a plus.
