Senior Software Engineer (City of London)

The Technology and Innovation function is responsible for delivering advanced technology solutions and seamless connectivity to empower the firm's advisory services and analytics business areas.
As a Senior Technologist, you will have the chance to enhance your abilities and gain valuable experience across various technologies and AI tools utilized by the team. Our client is seeking an ambitious, entrepreneurial, and energetic individual with a strong willingness to absorb new knowledge and grow within a dynamic, high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the technology and innovation strategy to support business growth, leveraging AI tools to derive commercial insights from diverse structured and unstructured data.
- Enhance the existing technology ecosystem.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies using AI/RPA tools across business and technology departments.
- Deliver technology solutions that increase the automation of manually intensive tasks.
- Develop strategic solutions aligned with the business strategy.
- Drive a continuous improvement culture by identifying opportunities to enhance the operational efficiency of the support model.
Skill Requirements:
- Strong skills in Python programming at least 5 years commercial experience
- Demonstrable ability to create custom GPTs and Chatbots using AI tools such as Google Gemini API (and Notebook LM), Anthropic Claude AI, Microsoft CoPilot, and OpenAI's Chat GPT.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Power Platform.
- Proficiency in Oracle Database (SQL, stored procedures, etc.).
- Experience with Jira and Confluence is preferred.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and oral/written communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a team and client-facing environment.
