Lead SRE
Lead Site Reliability Engineer, Team Lead, SRE, Azure, AWS, Site Reliability, London, Hybrid
Harris Global are currently looking for a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to join our client on an initial 6 month contract. This role will require 3 days per week onsite in London.
This is a true SRE role, not just DevOps so you'll need proven experience running large scale, resilient systems alongside the ability to lead a team.
Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of engineers, setting direction and ensuring SRE best practices are adopted across projects
- Spending around 50% of your time hands on with design, build and troubleshooting of cloud-native systems
- Working across both Azure and AWS environments, ensuring systems are scalable, secure and highly available
- Managing and optimising containerised workloads with Kubernetes
- Building observability and monitoring frameworks to ensure performance and reliability
- Partnering with stakeholders and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement, automation and operational excellence
Skills:
- Proven leadership experience (you've managed or led SRE/engineering teams before)
- Strong background as a Site Reliability Engineer, with experience beyond DevOps tooling alone
- Expertise with Azure and AWS cloud platforms
- Solid skills in Kubernetes and container orchestration at scale
- Strong knowledge of monitoring, incident management, automation and infrastructure-as-code
- Excellent communicator with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
