Senior Network & Microsoft 365 Engineer - Belfast

THIS IS A HYBRID ROLE IN BELFAST!

We are recruiting for a Senior Network & Microsoft 365 Engineer to take ownership of IT infrastructure within a growing organisation. This is a standalone, senior level position suited to a highly capable one person IT professional who thrives on autonomy and technical responsibility.

Networking and Microsoft 365 security are the core priorities of this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage enterprise networking (VLANs, routing/switching, Firewalls, VPNs, QoS, VoIP)

• Lead Microsoft 365 administration (Intune, Entra ID, Conditional Access, Autopilot, SharePoint & Teams governance)

• Maintain and secure Windows Server & Active Directory environments

• Support and optimise AWS infrastructure

• Own backup strategy, patching, security hardening and vulnerability remediation

• Act as L3 escalation point and drive root cause resolution

• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell

Requirements

• Strong hands on expertise in networking and Microsoft 365 security (essential)

• Experience with Firewalls, VoIP and endpoint management

• Proven ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities

• Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills
