ERP Specialist
We are recruiting for an ERP Systems and Software Specialist for a fantastic company based in Eastleigh. The company has several hundred users across multiple sites, it is a successful and growing business, innovative and invests in IT.
This role reports to the Head of IT and is the guardian of the ERP system. The role plays a pivotal role in maintaining the ERP system, acting as conduit with the software provider, and in training of staff.
It is a role you can make your own and input your continuous improvement ideas. The team and company are a fantastic work environment, one of the best.
The Role
This role focuses on the following:
- Taking ownership of the ERP system’s day to day operation and performance
- Looking after the users, from new starter training to dealing with user issues
- Interfacing with software provider
Some specific tasks include:
- Manage system upgrades and updates, testing them, implementing and communicating as necessary to users
- Work with the business to understand how users would like to improve the system, organise those improvements and launch them
- Conduct audits and create processes to ensure ISO 27001 compliance
- Log and track user issues with the ERP system and help to resolve
- Train new starters on how to use the system
- Provide strategic input on how the systems can evolve to help the business achieve its objectives
The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for the following in the successful candidate:
- Solid, progressive experience managing ERP systems
- Experience of training users on how to use the system
- Capability to communicate technical things to non technical users
- Experience of process management and process improvement
In terms of personal attributes, it’s important you are methodical, calm and able to make decisions, work independently and take ownership. The team and company are super nice, so you need to be a decent, ethical person who works well in a team.
