Technical Product Manager

This is an exciting role in a market-leading company based in Southampton. It is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Manager to join a well-established and thriving team. The Product Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of this company and is responsible for both product planning and product strategy. This includes managing the product throughout the full product lifecycle. You will work closely with other departments to ensure goals are achieved. Our client develops technical products and supports a number of high-end industries.

The Product Manager role

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious candidate looking to continue their career within Product Management including, marketing, sales and procurement. Among others, duties will include:

  • Developing product Marketing strategies
  • Building relationships with suppliers
  • Working closely with the Purchasing team to maximise inventory
  • Management of product life cycle from conception, including design, development and introduction of product to market
  • Championing the products and provide first class customer service
  • Taking ownership of the product data system
  • Collaborating with other departments
  • Negotiating pricing with suppliers

The ideal candidate for the Product Manager role

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Product Manager looking for their next challenge.This is a varied role covering all aspects of the Product Lifecycle so experience in Sales, Marketing, Distribution and Asset Management is key. Ideal experience is Electronics / Electrical products however, they are open to candidates from other sectors with the relevant skills and personality. You must have the ability to pick up technical information.
