ICT Desktop Support Technician

Edinburgh (Hybrid 3 days per week)
£167 P/D (Inside IR35)

6-month contract
Counter Terrorism Check (CTC) clearance is required for this role. Candidates who already hold a valid CTC clearance will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities

  • The assignment is to work in IT support to deliver effective first and second-line customer focused services
  • Working on IT support tasks including providing IT Helpdesk, customer service support, break fix, triage.

Skills & Experience

  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows 11 and proficient in supporting Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Office 365.
  • Relevant experience of providing floorwalking and helpdesk IT support in a large, networked environment, including people at all levels of the organisation.
  • Device support experience including smartphones/tablets and laptops.
  • Excellent communication skills, and a confident, respectful inclusive customer-focused manner.
  • Self-motivated and well organised, with an analytical approach to problem solving.

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Experience of using an incident management software package, preferably Assyst to record incidents and update configuration items.
