Role - NOC Engineer

Location - Staffordshire (Hybrid)

I'm looking for a motivated Associate NOC Engineer to join our Network Operations Centre.

This is a great opportunity for someone with solid 2nd line experience who's ready to step up, develop their technical skills, and support the stability and performance of our clients' systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor services through our RMM platform and escalate alerts appropriately
  • Support tuning and optimisation of monitoring and alerting
  • Assist with managing backups, resolving failures, and completing restores
  • Help maintain patching schedules for servers and end-user devices
  • Support firmware/software updates and infrastructure maintenance
  • Monitor storage solutions and contribute to monthly reporting
  • Update documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles
  • Assist with network security, certificates, and firewall changes
  • Communicate clearly with internal teams and clients

Skills required:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows desktop/server environments
  • Good understanding of LAN/WAN technologies and SAN basics
  • Experience with AD, GPOs, Exchange, O365, RDS/Citrix
  • Familiarity with backup solutions, DNS/DHCP, and PowerShell
  • 2–3 years' IT support experience (2nd line level desirable)
  • A-Level education or equivalent

Desirable: MCSA, MSCE, CCNA, CompTIA
