Job Description:
- Our client is seeking an experienced SEO Consultant to support a major digital transformation programme within one of its globally recognised reference and learning products.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical SEO & Re-platforming
- Define and implement SEO requirements during a large-scale re-platforming
- Improve crawlability, indexation, and site performance
- Manage sitemaps, robots.txt, structured data, and scalable page templates
- Optimise for Core Web Vitals at scale (LCP, CLS, INP)
- Reduce layout shifts and support UX-led performance improvements
- Establish Google Search Console monitoring and BigQuery data extraction
- Identify and mitigate technical risks during migration
On-Site & Content Optimisation
- Develop on-page SEO frameworks (metadata, headings, internal linking, structured content) Optimise navigation and site architecture for discoverability
- Create scalable strategies to target different types of search intent
- Lead keyword research, clustering, and intent analysis
- Identify content gaps and growth opportunities
- Embed SEO best practice into content workflows
Mandatory Skills:
- Proven experience leading SEO during large-scale re-platforming or migration projects
- Strong technical SEO expertise combined with content strategy experience
- Experience optimising high-volume content platforms
- Deep understanding of Core Web Vitals and site performance optimisation
- Confident stakeholder management across cross-functional teams
- Data-driven mindset with experience using Search Console and large datasets Up-to-date knowledge of AI Overviews, query fan-out behaviour, and evolving search interfaces
- Industry knowledge in education, reference, or language learning is a plus
