Senior IT Project Manager - End-of-life Infrastructure
IT Project Manager - End of life infrastructure sought by leading investment bank based in the city of London.
**Inside IR35 - 3 days a week on site**
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to deliver small to medium technology projects with a strong focus on end-of-life remediation, technology risk, and governance. This role suits someone who can bring structure to complex initiatives and work confidently with senior stakeholders across multiple regions.
Responsibilities
- Manage full lifecycle delivery of IT projects, including charters, schedules, budgets, quality plans, and release documentation.
- Build business cases and ROI models with business sponsors, PMO, and Head Office teams.
- Track progress against milestones and ensure delivery within scope and budget.
- Coordinate deployments and system releases.
- Prepare reports and presentations for Steering Committees, senior IT leadership, and C-suite stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships across offices and manage internal and external resources in a matrix environment.
- Oversee vendor relationships, including negotiating SoWs, contracts, and SLAs.
- Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and assumptions.
- Ensure compliance with EOL policies and maintain accurate logging in Archer and Orbus.
- Produce clear EOL summaries and contribute to technology risk dashboards.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience delivering IT projects or programmes.
- Project management qualification (APM, PMP, etc).
- Strong understanding of waterfall and agile methodologies.
- Experience leading EOL or technology risk remediation initiatives.
- Knowledge of risk frameworks, manual controls, and remediation approaches.
- Familiarity with Archer, Orbus, ServiceNow, and technology governance processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess system risks and challenge prioritisation.
- Good understanding of IT functions and financial market products.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- High attention to detail, strong organisation, and effective time management.
- Confident decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working in high-pressure environments.
