Role – Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Location – London – Hybrid (4 days onsite per week, 1 day WFH)

Salary – £70,000 - £80,000 DOE

I am seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a fast-paced Family Office technology team, responsible for delivering secure, resilient, and high-performing enterprise infrastructure for a globally mobile user base.

The environment is primarily on-premise, with a strong focus on security and resilience, alongside a controlled adoption of Microsoft 365.

The ideal candidate understands how systems work end-to-end, can clearly explain technical decisions, and thrives in a dynamic environment with changing priorities. A genuine interest in technology beyond the workplace is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage core on-premise Microsoft technologies and support the phased adoption of Microsoft 365
• Administer Exchange Server (PowerShell-based), ensuring high availability across devices
• Manage VMware vSphere, vSAN, Horizon, and Aria environments
• Oversee backup, recovery, and storage platforms (Veeam, ExaGrid, enterprise storage)
• Play an active role in security, including email security (Mimecast), penetration testing, DR, and business continuity
• Implement best practices for infrastructure operations, patching, monitoring, and lifecycle management
• Deliver white-glove user support and maintain clear technical documentation
• Ensure SaaS and cloud services are securely deployed and well-integrated

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in a technical or engineering discipline preferred
• Microsoft and/or VMware certifications beneficial
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft and VMware on-premise environments
• Solid storage and backup experience (e.g. Veeam, ExaGrid, vSAN, Dell/Compellent or equivalent)
• Exchange administration experience, including mail flow and SPF/DKIM/DMARC
• Experience with zero-trust security, MFA, conditional access, and identity platforms desirable
• Exposure to SaaS/security platforms such as CrowdStrike, ThreatLocker, Netskope, or Okta advantageous

• Infrastructure & Monitoring: Veeam, ManageEngine, SIEM, SNMP, Syslog
• Networking & Email: DNS, DNSSEC, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, PKI
