Senior Java/Spring Developer

Harvey Nash has an urgent requirement for Java/Spring Migration Developer for a public sector client in Edinburgh.

• 10 week contract
• Inside of IR35
• £425 - £450 a day
• Two days a week onsite in Edinburgh
• Candidates must have a valid Disclosure Scotland check

The Role

Upgrade work on Spring (Framework) to 5.3.x and Spring Security to 5.8.x.

We are looking for the following experience:

• Experienced Java development (Java 8/11/17).
• Spring Framework (MVC, transactions, Security).
• Proven migration experience from Spring 2.x/3.x - 5.x/6.x
• Preferably experience in upgrading to Hibernate 5.6.
• Experience remediating security vulnerabilities (CVE mitigation, CSRF/session handling).
• Strong JSP/JSTL experience and ability to retire legacy Tiles layouts.
• Maven, Jenkins CI/CD, TomEE 8 deployment experience.
