Senior Server Support Engineer
Senior Server Support Engineer | Remote (Oxford once a month) | Salary up to £60K + bonus DOE
Role: Senior Server Support Engineer
Location: Remote working with one day per month in the Oxford office
Salary: £60,000 + bonus DOE
The successful candidate must be available to manage emergency call outs 24/7, on a rota basis with several other engineers, covering approximately one week every six weeks.
Technical Skills
Required Technologies
- Windows Server experience (Failover Clustering, Microsoft NLB, IIS)
- Microsoft Entra Cloud Infrastructure (Exchange Online, Intune, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Teams)
- Cloud Infrastructure (Cloudflare, AWS) – CDN, DNS, WAF
Background & Experience
They should be able to demonstrate, using examples, their capability to:
- Assess and recommend technology solutions by gathering business requirements, reviewing available options, and choosing the most suitable technology to address organisational needs.
- Develop implementation and deployment plans that clearly define how the selected technology will be delivered and aligned to business objectives.
- Support a broad range of technologies within a large-scale e-commerce or similarly demanding environment, handling high user volumes and ensuring continuous 24/7/365 system availability.
As this is a customer-facing role, you should be confident communicating effectively and appropriately with stakeholders at all levels of the business, including senior executives, internal teams, and customers.
