Work Ready Trainer
HSDC is looking to recruit three Work Ready Trainers to deliver across several courses on our Unemployed provision. This will be across campus and in the local areas. This position is designed to support adult learners in moving closer to employment.
HSDC is looking for candidates who feel they can support delivery across some of the courses outlined below:
- Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment, which is a critical step toward obtaining a CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.
- Entry or Level 1 IT for Beginners
- Business admin – Entry and Level 1
- Cybersecurity – Level 1 and 2
- Customer Services (Level 1)
- Well-being and Counselling Skills (Entry/Level 1)
- Preparing for employment and job skills (Entry/Level 1)
- Health and Care (Entry/Level 1)
- Level 1 Bookkeeping and money management
- Warehousing and retail
- Interpersonal Skills - Level 1 Award
- Retail - Level 1 Award
- Award in Safeguarding in a Learning Environment - Level 1 Award
- Preparing to Work in Schools- Level 1 Award
- Health & Social Care for Children & Young People - Level 1 Award
- Cleaning Principles - Level 2 Certificate
- Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Climate Change and Environmental Awareness
- Award in Food Safety in Health and Social Care and Early Years and Childcare Settings - Level 2 Award
- Health & Social Care for Children & Young People - Level 1 Award
- Understanding Nutrition and Health - Level 2 Certificate
- Introduction to Warehousing - Level 1 Certificate
- Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care - Level 2 Certificate
- Principles of Warehousing and Storage - Level 2 Certificate

We are also able to support staff through the Level 3 Assessors Award and Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance Award.
You will be responsible for:
- Carrying out appropriate training and assessment workload as agreed with your line manager
- Agree and review learning programmes with DWP, Employers and Partnership Co-ordinators
- Undertaking all assessment, marking and grading of regulated courses both online and in the classroom
- Design bespoke courses of non-regulated training to meet specific JCP demands for their customers
- Develop and deliver training/coaching sessions (small groups and one to one) as appropriate to their experience and adult needs
- Undertake IQA responsibilities for appropriate adult courses when required.
The successful candidates will need to be :-
- Qualified in Assessing and hold a recognised teacher training qualification.
- A level 2 or above in the qualification that they are delivering.
- Industry knowledge
- Work-Based Trainer qualification (A1 or equivalent)
- IQA qualifications (desirable but training can be provided)
- Literacy and numeracy skills at Level 2 or above
- Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) or Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent) (desirable but training can be provided)
