The Building Technologies team plays a key role in delivering specialist solutions across Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS), smart building technologies and wider building controls systems.Your New RoleDue to continued growth and a number of strategic vacancies within the team, a Building Energy Management System (BEMS) Engineer is required to join an established Building Technologies Group based in Epsom. The role will focus predominantly on design, working closely with building services and multidisciplinary engineering teams on a range of technically challenging projects.Key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing BEMS strategies for a variety of building projects.
- Producing specifications, schematics, drawings and points schedules.
- Supporting site surveys and inspections where required.
- Providing technical advice on control systems and emerging technologies.
- Working closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams.
- Contributing to technical standards and knowledge sharing within the team.
What You'll Need to SucceedTo be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Experience within BEMS/BMS design, controls engineering or building automation.
- Good understanding of BEMS applications, networks and communication protocols.
- Experience producing technical documentation, specifications and schematics.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Site experience carrying out surveys or working alongside installation and commissioning teams.
- A desire to develop within a consultancy environment.
