Business Analyst

We are supporting our client with a major new programme. They are looking for a Business Analyst to work on their new readiness function which will form a core part of the Government's Growth Mission. You will join the high-profile Delivery Programme, working across multiple directorates and stakeholders. It's an opportunity to be at the forefront of national-level change as the UK moves into a critical phase of negotiations. You'll be part of a collaborative, growing team focused on readiness, impact, and successful adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate policy requirements into clear business and digital delivery needs
  • Lead the elicitation and documentation of business, functional and non-functional requirements
  • Map "as-is" and "to-be" processes, identifying gaps, impacts and improvement opportunities
  • Work closely with policy, digital, operational and cross-government stakeholders
  • Support agile delivery through user story creation, backlog refinement and acceptance criteria
  • Conduct business change impact assessments and support readiness planning
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews and engagement sessions to gather insight and validate assumptions
  • Produce clear documentation for governance, decision-making and assurance

Key Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst working within complex, multi-stakeholder transformation programmes, within central government.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business and user needs into clear, testable requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Demonstrable experience working in multidisciplinary Agile teams, supporting discovery, design, and delivery phases.
  • Skilled in requirements management, process mapping, and documentation using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Visio.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to work effectively across policy, operational, and technical teams.Familiarity with AI

In return, you will receive the opportunity to support a major government department, working on a new major programme. The possibility to work on a 6 month contract remote paying up to £500 p/day (in scope of IR35). This will be a hybrid role.
