Business Operations Manager - 12 month FTC

The business is investing in its core operations and systems to support growth and improve the internal user experience.Your new role As Business Operations Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end MSP, Shared Service and Purchase-to-Pay service, ensuring it operates efficiently, compliantly and with a strong focus on service quality.This role is accountable for operational performance, governance and the ongoing stabilisation and optimisation of a newly implemented P2P platform (IVP EAS). You will act as the primary business owner of the P2P service, managing a third-party Managed Service Provider and working closely with Finance, Technology and wider business stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.Key responsibilities include:

  • Ownership of the full business operation, working closely with finance, procurement, compliance and the MSP provider.
  • Monitoring and improving service performance through KPIs, reporting and governance
  • Ensuring strong financial controls, audit readiness and compliance, including ISAE 2
  • Managing the outsourced P2P service provider against agreed SLAs and service outcomes
  • Acting as business owner for the P2P application, partnering with Finance Systems to resolve issues and deliver enhancements
  • Supporting system adoption and improving user experience across the business
  • Mentoring a junior team member and building internal operational capability
  • Identifying opportunities for automation and AI-enabled process improvement

What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you will bring a strong background in business or finance operations, with demonstrable ownership of complex, end-to-end processes.You will ideally have:

  • 7-10 years' experience in Purchase-to-Pay, Operations and have worked within a Shared Services environment, ideally within an outsourced or managed service environment
  • Proven experience managing third-party service providers and driving performance against SLAs and KPIs
  • A solid understanding of P2P processes, financial controls and operational governance
  • Experience supporting system implementations, stabilisation or transformation initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Experience mentoring or developing team members
  • Confidence working with ERP / finance platforms and an interest in automation or AI
  • Experience in financial services, private equity or professional services is advantageous.
