C# Developer - Farnborough, Hampshire - Hybrid (2 days onsite)£450-£500 per day (Inside IR35)
- Hybrid working - 2 days per week in Farnborough
- You must live within 1 hour of travel to site
I am working with a highly regarded global financial services organisation who are looking for a C# Developer with Blazor experience to join their team on a long-term contract basis.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business where contractors are genuinely valued, integrated into the team, and given the chance to contribute to meaningful, long-term programmes. You'll be working in a collaborative and supportive environment, alongside both internal and external developers, delivering work across new and existing financial systems.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications using C#, working on a mix of project-based delivery and ongoing system support. You will play a key role in building scalable, high-quality solutions within a modern financial services environment, contributing to both innovation and stability across critical systems.
What you'll be doing
- You will develop solutions using C#, .NET Core and modern architectures
- You will deliver enhancements and new functionality across financial systems
- You will work across both project delivery and live application support
- You will collaborate with developers, analysts, and testers
- You will support production systems and troubleshoot issues
- You will contribute to a high-performing Agile team environment
What I'm looking for
- Strong background in C#, .Net Core, with a proven understanding of event-driven architecture
- Proficient in Angular framework to build and support frontend web applications
- Strong experience with Razor / Blazor is important for this role
- Experience of RESTful API development within microservice architecture
- Experience of deploying to cloud architecture within Kubernetes
- Experience delivering new functionality and changes to established financial applications
- Experience working as part of a collaborative development team, contributing to code reviews and shared delivery
- Experience supporting applications in production environments, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Ability to work from written specifications or JIRA stories, refining solutions independently
- Experience working with analysts and testers to refine requirements and support delivery
- Experience writing and maintaining documentation within JIRA and Confluence
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to self-manage and take initiative
- Demonstrable experience in IT with a strong track record in design and development
- Proven ability to work independently and within Agile teams
- Experience engaging with multiple IT teams and external suppliers
- Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic environment
- Exposure to Financial Services and mission-critical systems
Environment experience (important)You will ideally have worked in complex, enterprise-scale environments, such as:
- Financial Services (preferred)
- Telecoms
- Manufacturing
- Retail
- FMCG
Experience within large, global or blue-chip organisations is highly desirable, particularly where you have supported business-critical systems at scale.
