We are working with a leading financial services organisation undergoing a major transformation of its clearing and data estate. As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering a modern, scalable data platform that supports core clearing operations, advanced analytics, and regulatory reporting.This is a high-impact role at the intersection of business and technology, ideal for an experienced data engineer who enjoys owning end-to-end data solutions and contributing to enterprise-wide data strategy.What you'll need to succeed

• 5+ years' experience in data engineering or software engineering within financial services or a similarly regulated environment
• Proven experience delivering at least one production-grade data platform
• Strong hands-on capability with modern data engineering tools such as Python, SQL, Airflow, Spark, Kafka, dbt, Snowflake (or equivalents)
• Experience with backend technologies (e.g. Java / Spring Boot) and exposure to frontend frameworks (e.g. React)
• Solid understanding of data governance, lineage, validation, and audit requirements
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native data architectures
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation
• Exposure to financial services regulatory frameworks such as EMIR, MiFID II, GDPR, PFMI, or similar
