Dental Business Analyst

We are seeking an SC cleared Dental Business Analyst to support the delivery of a new dental clinical system within a large, secure, government-backed organisation responsible for healthcare services provided to UK defence personnel. You will collaborate with clinical and operational teams to define requirements, redesign workflows, ensure clinical safety, and guide the successful rollout of a modern dental system in a highly regulated environment that requires Security Check (SC) clearance.Details:

  • Location - Bath
  • Hybrid - 2/3 days per week in the office
  • Rate - £400-£490 / day outside IR35.
  • Duration: 6 months
  • Start - ASAP

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and document clinical and operational requirements through workshops and interviews.
  • Map current and future dental workflows and translate needs into system specifications.
  • Support configuration, data migration, integrations, and dental unit setup.
  • Create core documentation (process maps, user stories, SOPs, benefits).
  • Manage stakeholders across clinical and non-clinical teams.
  • Lead or support UAT, test scripting, quality checks, and go-live activities.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical safety, data governance, and national healthcare standards.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • SC Clearence required
  • Proven experience as a Healthcare or Clinical Business Analyst delivering digital clinical system projects.
  • Strong skills in requirements elicitation, workflow/process mapping, and documentation.
  • Experience with at least one dental system, such as:
  • R4 / R4+ (Carestream/Sensei)
  • EXACT (Software of Excellence)
  • Open Dental
  • Dentrix Enterprise (Henry Schein)
  • Carestream PracticeWorks
  • CS Imaging, Planmeca Romexis, DEXIS / DTX Studio Clinic, or similar imaging systems
  • Understanding of healthcare interoperability and standards (HL7, FHIR, SNOMED/SNODENT).
  • Confident communicator able to engage effectively with clinicians and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable operating within secure, regulated, or safety-critical environments.
