This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a dedicated group of support professionals and play a key role in shaping the future of user-focused IT services. Your new role As Team Manager for End User Support, you will lead the Hardware Devices Team in delivering high-quality support for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. This role combines technical leadership with strategic oversight, driving service improvements and ensuring stakeholder technology needs are met. You'll manage and mentor a high-performing team, provide expert guidance on complex technical issues, and oversee daily operations to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement. You'll align service delivery with business objectives, set measurable standards, identify training needs, and maintain ITIL-compliant documentation. Staying current with emerging technologies and best practices, you'll support IT infrastructure and ensure all hardware meets specifications. Through ongoing evaluation and enhancement of support processes, you'll foster innovation, efficiency, and a culture of excellence across the IT Directorate.What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing technical support or end-user services teams.
- Deep understanding of end-user support tools, technologies, and service delivery processes.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- A customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional IT support.
- A full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel across the force area when required.
- Eligibility to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history.
