HR Systems Project Lead
An organisation is seeking an experienced HR Systems Project Lead on an interim basis to support the implementation of a new Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and candidate sifting solution. This role will lead the project from initiation through early delivery, ensuring a structured, efficient, and well-governed rollout.
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong HR domain expertise, particularly across recruitment processes and systems
- Proven experience working with Workday (essential), including implementation and/or optimisation
- Experience working within public sector
- Demonstrable track record delivering HR systems implementations, specifically ATS or recruitment platforms
- Ability to rapidly assess current-state processes and define effective future-state solutions
Project & Delivery Capability
- Experience initiating and structuring projects from the ground up, including:
- Project mobilisation
- Planning and governance
- Timeline development
- Strong stakeholder management experience across HR, IT, and third-party vendors
- Ability to drive delivery, manage risks, remove blockers, and ensure milestones are achieved
Technical & Functional Expertise
- Strong understanding of HR systems architecture, integrations, and data flows
- Ability to translate business requirements into practical system and process solutions
- Comfortable contributing to system configuration decisions and engaging with vendors
Personal Profile
- Proactive, hands-on, and able to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and influencing skills, including engagement with senior stakeholders
- Able to balance strategic oversight with hands-on delivery
