IT Hardware Lead

Hardware Services LeadLocation: Multiple Core SitesTeam Size: Up to 15 EngineersWe are looking for an experienced Hardware Services Lead to take ownership of a high-performing team delivering critical second-line hardware support across several key locations. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring exceptional service delivery across laptop deployments, break/fix hardware support, IT peripherals, procurement fulfilment, and mobile data/SIM management.If you're a proactive leader with strong technical expertise and a passion for driving operational excellence, we'd love to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor and develop a team of up to 15 hardware support engineers across multiple sites.Oversee the delivery of second-line hardware support, laptop builds/deployments, and device lifecycle management.Ensure timely fulfilment of IT procurement requests and manage supplier relationships to maintain stock levels and service consistency.Manage mobile data/SIM provisioning, usage monitoring, and cost control.Define, track and report on KPIs and SLAs, using performance data to drive continuous improvement.Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and high levels of customer satisfaction.Identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to maintain service stability and efficiency.About YouProven background leading IT hardware or device support teams across multi-site environments.Strong knowledge of laptop deployment processes, break/fix operations, and IT accessory/peripheral management.Experience in procurement fulfilment and working with external suppliers.Familiarity with mobile data/SIM administration and monitoring tools.Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management abilities.Analytical and proactive, with experience defining and monitoring KPIs and SLAs to enhance performance.Strong problem-solving skills and a forward-thinking approach to risk and issue management.If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.
