IT Helpdesk Technician

Your new company This managed service provider has an excellent reputation across the North West as they currently support over 150 primary schools from an IT perspective, and they are looking to bring in an IT Helpdesk Technician to join their team. The head office is based in Liverpool, with schools across the North West, and they are highly regarded as providing a high level of IT support and customers to schools across the region. The organisation has a well-established team of IT Engineers in the field who are supported by a central team at head office, and you will become an integral part of this team. Your new role Reporting to the IT Service Director, you will be joining an established team as an IT Helpdesk Technician where you will provide support both remotely and on site, therefore travel to schools will be required. You will respond to helpdesk requests, working with the wider team to ensure these are resolved efficiently and that a high level of service is provided at all times to end users. These service requests will range from hardware queries, to software issues, to working with technologies which are bespoke to the education sector, and you will therefore have the opportunity to further develop your skills and knowledge. When visiting the schools, you will also provide support with the installation and building of hardware, as well as working with interactive whiteboards and working closely with the wider IT team. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful in securing this position, you will possess IT helpdesk experience, ideally with knowledge of school IT support however this isn't essential. You will have excellent communication and relationship building skills, as well as a passion for delivering a high level of IT support. As this role will require occasional on-site support, you must also possess a UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle. What you'll get in return In return, you will be paid a salary of between £26,000 and £30,000 depending on experience, and you will be joining a reputable organisation where you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills and knowledge.
