IT Project manager - Banking, Technology Resilience / BC / DR

Rate: Up to £750 per day (Inside IR35 - Umbrella)

Location: London /Hybrid (2-3 days per week on-site)

Duration - Initially 6 months with a strong possibility of extension

My client is a Global Banking organisation who urgently require an IT Project Manager with proven Investment Banking industry experience and working knowledge of Technology Resilience / Business Continuity (BC) / Disaster Recovery (DR) Projects / Programmes to join a business-critical Operational Resilience Project.
Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as an IT Project Manager with the most recent experience within the Investment Banking industry
• Demonstrable broad experience of working on Infrastructure and Application-focused Projects / Programmes with Bank-wide impact across the entire organisation
• Previous experience of working on Technology Resilience / Business Continuity (BC) / Disaster Recovery (DR) related Projects / Programmes
• Working knowledge of testing (DR Testing, scenario testing, etc) and ability to prepare, plan and oversee the tests
• Good understanding and experience of end-to-end Project Management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid deliveries
• Strong risk and dependency management capability across multiple work streams
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strength of character to challenge assumptions
• Ability to identify technical delivery bottlenecks, compliance risks and operational impacts with a proven ability to bring people together to find credible and timely solutions
• Flexible approach towards hybrid working

Nice to have:

• Immediate availability
• Working knowledge of a broad range of technology skills / experience including Datacenters, networks, trading systems, front office equipment etc.
• Ability to connect infrastructure recovery activities with business outcomes, such as running batches, end-of-day processing, booking transactions, and evaluating third-party or cloud-provider dependencies
• Familiarity with Service Management processes
• Relevant Project Management qualifications (APM, PMP etc)
