IT Project Manager

Your new company Our growing public sector client requires an IT Project Manager on a permanent basis to be their sole project Manager to deliver a wide variety of IT and wider business change projects. This role is offered on a remote basis.Your new role Reporting to the Director of Finance and Transformation, the IT Project Manager will lead on the planning and delivery of key projects that support the organisations strategy from the design and delivery through the implementation phase, including supporting the management of change.There will be a strong emphasis on delivery of strategic IT projects and system implementation in the first instance however the role will also involve wider business change projects too.What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualification or accreditation in the use of recognised structured project management methodology (e.g. PRINCE2 / Agile)
  • Demonstrable project management experience including experience of successful management of complex and early-stage multi-stakeholder projects
  • Effective relationship building and interpersonal skills in order to build effective support networks
  • Ability to critically analyse project proposals and documentation and able to give constructive feedback while maintaining trust and strong relationships
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly using PowerPoint to key stakeholders
  • Experience of business analysis and process mapping
  • Proven track record with the use of reporting tools to monitor programme activities and analyse programme performance.
  • Ability to work in situations that may be ambiguous or changing using an agile approach
  • Experience of implementation of large-scale complex IT transformation projects is ideal
  • Public sector experience is desirable
