IT Risk and Policy Analyst

Your new company A well-known construction company in Leatherhead offers hybrid working (2-3 days a week in the office) to an experienced IT Risk and Policy Analyst.

Your new role You will be responsible for managing IT risks, monitoring audit actions, maintaining IT policies and procedures, and supporting GDPR compliance. The role ensures effective governance and compliance across IT processes, providing a framework for the identification, mitigation, and management of risks. You will be responsible for ensuring alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements, and you will work closely with various stakeholders across the organisation.

  • Ensuring that all IT risk and IT audit actions are highlighted, monitored, and escalated where appropriate.
  • Maintaining the suite of IT policies and procedures.
  • Providing support to the Privacy Team in ensuring GDPR compliance.
  • Assisting in managing IT Risk Register inputs and outcomes, liaising with IT SLT & Group Assurance and external auditors as appropriate.
  • Identifying policy/procedure gaps and working with SMEs to create the material.
  • Managing review process for existing IT policies and procedures, updating, or archiving as required
  • Building strong relationships in IT & across the business to facilitate the adoption of agreed IT policies and procedures.

What you'll need to succeed

  • You could come from either a Governance background or an IT background to succeed in this role.
  • An understanding of IT Risks, Controls and GDPR requirements would be beneficial.
  • You will need strong communication skills.
  • You will have excellent analytical skills and the ability to produce high-quality reports.
  • You will be highly organised and able to implement and manage robust governance processes.
  • You will be required to undergo a BPSS security check.
