Interim IT Commercial Manager

Your new company You will be working for a Public Sector Health Care organisation who are offering a new opportunity to support their procurement team currently until the end of March 2026. Your new role This role is critical in supporting the delivery of strategic procurement initiatives across digital and technology categories, ensuring compliance with public sector regulations and frameworks. You will lead and support procurement activities for i.e cloud services, software, infrastructure, and consultancy where you will be working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external partners to deliver value-driven, compliant, and innovative commercial solutions.

  • Ability to manage complex procurement projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Collaborate with programme leads in IT and potentially other areas to define requirements and procurement approaches.
  • Engage with suppliers to foster innovation, value for money, and continuous improvement.
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts, ensuring robust commercial terms and risk mitigation.
  • Manage procurement pipelines and ensure timely delivery of key projects.
  • Lead end-to-end procurement processes for IT and digital services, including market engagement, tendering, evaluation, and contract award.

What you'll need to succeed

  • CIPS/ MCIPS or equivalent professional procurement qualifications including time served.
  • Proven track record in public sector IT procurement
  • Strong understanding of UK public procurement regulations, including PCR15 and PA23.
  • Experience using Crown Commercial Service (CCS) frameworks such as G-Cloud, DOS, and Technology Products & Services.
  • Familiarity with eProcurement platforms (e.g., Atamis, Jaggaer) and contract management systems.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge or running end-to-end tenders in a public sector organisation
