Your new company We are currently collaborating with one of the largest global pharmaceutical companies to recruit an SAP Finance Data & Analytics Specialist on a contract basis. This organisation is currently undergoing significant change and growth projects, and to effectively manage these transitions, they are seeking a qualified finance professional with experience in a SAP S/4 HANA Finance Implementation Project to join their team during this exciting period of expansion. Your new role Duration: 12MonthsHybrid Working: 2 days per week on-site, 3 days per week remoteOutside IR35 [Ltd Comp] or Inside IR35 [Umbrella]As a SAP Finance Data & Analytics Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the continuity of critical Finance reporting solutions while supporting the design and implementation of the S/4 HANA transformation. You'll act as a key bridge between the current state and the future vision, applying your deep SAP Finance expertise to guide interim state strategies, influence stakeholders, and ensure seamless integration across systems and teams. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring continuity of global and local Finance reporting solutions during transformation.
- Rapidly understanding complex financial data flows and models impacted by each deployment phase.
- Building strong relationships with Finance, IT, and BAU teams to align current and future state designs.
- Influencing stakeholders to adopt new analytics approaches aligned with the new vision.
- Leading interim state solution design and remediation strategies across global and local landscapes.
- Driving deliverables and participating in design workshops.
- Aligning remediation timelines and deployment schedules.
- Monitoring risks and collaborating on mitigation strategies.
- Assessing the impacts of in-flight projects, M&A, and ecosystem changes on interim state plans.
- Supporting post-go-live issue resolution and continuous improvement.
- Thriving in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with tight deadlines.
What you'll need to succeed
- 15+ years of experience in SAP Finance projects.
- Multiple full lifecycle S/4 HANA and ECC implementations, including interim state management.
- Expertise in SAP CFIN and deep functional knowledge of S/4 HANA FICO.
- Strong understanding of Record to Report, Financial Master Data, enterprise structure, product costing, group reporting, and intercompany processes.
- In-depth knowledge of S/4 HANA vs ECC differences in FI/CO modules.
- Experience with analytics tools and data platforms such as PowerBI, Qlik, Azure Data Lake, Snowflake, SAP B4H, and SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting.
